Mic & Mix is published by Magoo Media Group. This page explains what happens to data when you visit, in the plainest terms we can manage.
The short version
- We do not ask you to create an account, and there is nothing to log in to.
- We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone.
- We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read, and Amazon sets its own cookies when you follow a product link.
- If you use the contact form, the message is emailed to us and nothing else happens to it.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure how many people read which pages, where they arrive from, and which buy buttons get clicked. That last one is how we know which recommendations are useful. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data including a truncated IP address, your browser and device type, and the pages you view.
We do not use this data to identify individuals, and we do not attempt to. If you would rather not be counted, any browser-level tracking protection, ad blocker or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on will prevent it. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.
Affiliate links and Amazon
When you click a product link here you pass through a redirect on this domain and then go to Amazon, which appends our Associates tracking tag. From that point Amazon's own privacy policy and cookies apply, and they will know you arrived from this site. We receive aggregate commission reporting from Amazon — what was bought and how much was earned — never who bought it.

The contact form
If you submit the contact form, the name, email address, optional phone number and message you type are sent to us by email and nothing more. We use them to reply to you. They are not added to a mailing list, not passed to anyone else, and there is no marketing sequence behind the form.
The form includes two invisible anti-spam checks: a hidden field that only automated scripts fill in, and a timestamp recording when the page loaded so that submissions arriving in milliseconds can be rejected. Neither collects anything about you beyond whether the submission looks automated. Submissions are also rate-limited per IP address.
What we do not do
- No advertising network, no retargeting pixels, no social tracking scripts.
- No newsletter, so no email list and nothing to unsubscribe from.
- No accounts, no profiles, no stored purchase history.
- No selling, renting or sharing of data with third parties.
Your choices
You can block analytics with any standard browser privacy setting or extension. You can clear cookies at any time. You can email us to ask what we hold about you, or to ask us to delete a contact-form message, and we will do it — in practice the only thing we hold is an email you chose to send us.
Children
This site is intended for adults buying recording equipment. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. We will not quietly add a tracking service and leave this page as it was.
